This wonderful scratch built model arrived for some tlc.  In remarkable condition for its age (for example the rigging was still sound) it had suffered minor damage.

Some searching on the internet plus help from a neighbour who had a 1950’s hobby magazine turned up the plans for basically this model.  The builder had made a top class job of it.

Repairs consisted of refitting the Bow Sprit & the addition of some Gammoning for increased strength.  Completing the rigging of the Mizzen Mast for a Lateen.  Replacing a missing rudder & decorative shield.  Replacing the copper wire for the Chain Wales with brass wire.  A general clean up completed the job.

And here she sits, blinking in the daylight awaiting collection by her owner.
